AGE LIMIT
Candidates Should Meet the Age Limit (As on 01-01-2024) For OPSC PGT Recruitment 2024.
- Minimum Age Limit : 21 Years
- Maximum Age Limit : 32 Years
- The Maximum age limit will be 45 years for in-service candidates.
- Upper Age Relaxation is Applicable As Per Govt Rules.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- A Candidate must have Master’s Degree in Subject concerned from a recognized University and have possessed two years post Graduate Master’s Course or intergrated Six years Post Graduate Master’s Course From Regional College of Education Recognized by the NCERT.
- A Candidate must have B.E.d or equivalent degree recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi as equivalent with B.E.d from a recognized University provided that B.Ed qualification shall not be the mandatory eligibility criteria for the post of post graduate teacher in teh subjects where B.Ed. Course is not offered.
- Degre or Diploma in Computer Application is desirable qualification subject to production of the certificate in support of above qualification obtained from a recognized University or College or Institution having affiliation to a recognized University.
- B.Ed. Qualification for subjects other than Botany, Chemistry, English, Economices, Geography, History, Hindi, Mathematics, Odia, Physics, Political Science, Sanskrit and Zoology shall not be mandatory eligibility criteria for post of Post Graduate Teacher.
OPSC PGT : Selection Process
The selection of candidates for recruitment to the posts is expected to be made on the basis of Career Assessment and Personality test/Interview. There shall be a total marking of 100 marks. Out of 100 marks, the Career Assessment will be 70 marks and the Personality test/Interview will be of 30 marks. 70 mark s of Career Assessment as mentioned may be calculated with the following weightage:

Interview
- The candidates who are qualified in their career assessment will be called for the interview process. The interview will be conducted for 30 marks.
- The candidates in three times the total no. of posts of Post Graduate Teachers in each category (subject wise) shall be shortlisted and shall be called for the Personality Test/Interview on the basis of marks secured in Post Graduation level, which shall be qualifying in nature”.
- The final select list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured in Career Assessment and Personality Test/Interview, category-wise.
